Planning a bridal shower can be a daunting task. It is one of the biggest days in the lead up to the wedding and as the person with the honour of planning the shower, you have a lot of responsibility.
To understand how you will begin to plan, the first question you need to answer is ‘is this shower a surprise?’ If the answer is yes you will need to be confident in your ability to throw a shower that the bride will love. You may need to enlist the help of a sister or the bridesmaids to help you.
However, if the shower isn’t a surprise you may ask the bride for some help, emphasis on some. The bride already has plenty of jobs and stress with the wedding date fast approaching. Ask her to confirm the guest list or to create a playlist for the day and not much else. She will only be there to guide you on things you really are not sure about.
Below is an adorable graphic designed by Commins & Co Jewellers (https://www.comminsandco.ie) that summarises the key steps to planning a bridal shower. Print it out or read it and take some notes to help you in your planning.
As the bride’s best friend, sister or mother, trust your instincts. You know the bride well and if you listen to your gut, the bridal shower will be a hit.
