Tips for Planning a Kitchen Tea, Bridal Shower

Kitchen Tea Ideas Photo from Easy Weddings

So you have been asked to be a bridesmaid, and now the real Fun begins with all the planning that lay ahead to make sure the Bride has all of her childhood dreams come to reality. But how do you make it all happen, without the stress of planning? Here are our tips for planning the bridal shower/kitchen tea…

1.Set The date

The Bride can make the important decisions such as the date, time, place and length of the event. The event itself may be anywhere from 2 months to 2 weeks away, the more time prior you have, the more options you will have to meet requests and be within budget.

2. The Guest List

The Wedding will be the main event, it’s not necessary to invite all the girls who will attend the wedding. This day is most importantly about a celebration with immediate family and closest friends. However, don’t be surprised if this creates the first challenge of who to invite or not invite, and choosing a venue that can accommodate a range of small, medium or large number of guests.

3. Who hosts the shower

You can certainly host your own day or be pampered by a friend or family member. It can be their moment to make you shine. Let them do the research and source your preferred styling needs, be it simple to a full blown Pinterest affair.

4. The Venue

Why Little Ginger of Course! Make sure you establish early the criteria for the event, how many are likely to attend, is it a home style affair, a restaurant or a venue that is required to accommodate both guest numbers and the type of event being sought after. 5. Catering

Fruit punches, homemade lemonade, tea to wine spritzers and champagne. The details are all about how you want to celebrate. Remember, this one is usually about sharing your wedding planning with family members, not a last boozy night out. That doesn’t mean it has to be a No Alcohol affair, but it is usually a more placid fun day, laughing with those closest to you.

Food wise, it again depends on where you host the occasion. At little Ginger, you can self-cater or choose from our catering packages. If you host it at another venue or restaurant you will need to check details on what is on offer. Self-catering doesn’t have to be all about home-made sandwiches and sweet treats, you may decide to seek the assistance from a local patisserie as well as family members providing assistance. In general, think of a High Tea type arrangement of food, with a mix of savoury and sweet treats.

6. Invitations & Decorations
